SONGLINK SCORES AT NORDOFF ROBBINS POP QUIZ

London, November 17th: At the 22nd annual Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy Pop Quiz, the "SongLink Saboteurs" came 2nd out of 20 music industry teams, narrowly missing out to Wise Buddah/Box Music who have won the highly competitive tournament every year for the past seven years. SongLink publisher David Stark commented, "I am totally chuffed with such a great result, it was a real team effort and in many attendees' eyes we were the real winners, as the Wise Buddah team (headed by former BBC DJ Mark Goodier) are getting rather predictable after all this time, much as we love them. Most of the quizzers would like to see a change at the top, which we sincerely hope to accomplish at next year's event."

The Top 3 scores at the end of the 10-round competition, held at the London's Marriott Regents Park Hotel in Swiss Cottage, were: Wise Buddah/Box Music - 337; SongLink - 314; and Universal Records - 305. The SongLink Saboteurs consisted of David Stark (SongLink), Ellis Rich (Independent Music Group), David Hitchcock, Tansy Diplock & Tim Roe (DBM), Paul Barber (freelance), Rebecca Bradshaw (Eagle Rock), Jay Mistry (Global Music Services) and Paul & Naomi Kramer (The Hit Sheet). The quiz was hosted by Richard Shipman, with questions set by Phil Ward-Large, and organised by Julie Eyre on behalf of Nordoff Robbins Music Therapy. Over the past 22 years, the even has raised over £220,000 for the charity which provides music therapy for people of all ages.
