London, April 2012: British session drummer legend Clem Cattini will play and receive a Lifetime Achievement Award at the Buddy Rich 25th Anniversary Memorial Concert tonight at the London Palladium. Clem, one of the best-loved figures from early British rock and roll, has achieved the amazing distinction among musicians of featuring on over forty UK number one singles. Known for his full, straightforward, unpretentious style, he has proved the drummer of choice for sounds ranging from folk rock to hard rock.

An original member of iconic group, The Tornados, he went on to work with many of the musical greats over the years, including The Kinks, Paul McCartney, The Bee Gees, Lulu, Dusty Springfield, Ike and Tina Turner, Joe Cocker, the list goes on and on. Clem was the drummer on UK number ones including Cliff Richard's "Devil Woman", Tom Jones' "Green, Green Grass of Home", Johnny Kid's "Shakin' All Over", Gene Pitney's "Something's Gotten Hold of My Heart", and many, many more. In fact, more recently he has been working with Paul Weller on his new album - still going strong at 74! He has also played on a number of albums by singer extraordinaire, Tony Christie, and will be duetting with him in the concert.

Clem joins an all-star line-up including Ian Paice, Ginger Baker, Gavin Harrison and Elliott Henshaw from the UK, and Dave Weckl, John Blackwell and Gregg Potter from the USA. The show will be hosted by Buddy's daughter, Cathy Rich and British TV comedian, John Thomson. The annual memorial concert is taking place for the first time in the UK, celebrating the music of the late great Buddy Rich. Previous sellout shows have taken place in Los Angeles, Las Vegas and Boston. Tickets are available from the Box Office on 0844 412 4657 or online at www.seetickets.com priced from £25 to £60. There are a limited number of VIP tickets available, which represent the best seats in the house, an opportunity to meet the headline artists, admission to the after-show party and signed merchandise. This is one show not to be missed - the world's greatest musicians in the world's greatest theatre paying tribute to "the world's greatest drummer". Be there!
