London, December 2014: The SongLink team has won the 26th annual music industry Pop Quiz organised by charity Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy, held at the Connaught Rooms in Covent Garden, central London. The SongLink Saboteurs beat 18 other teams including Ministry of Sound, Polydor, Warner Music, Demon, PPL and Kobalt Music to win the coveted trophy at the packed-out quiz which is hosted by radio presenter Mark Goodier.
SongLink Editor/Publisher David Starksaid, "I've been taking part in the quiz for 20-odd years with various teams, and delighted to have finally won it with my own! The team includes some of the best music brains in the business and we're all delighted to be associated with such a great cause which helps to transforms the lives of so many less fortunate people of all ages through music therapy."
Nordoff-Robbins is based not far from SongLink's office in NW London, and has been supported over the years by such famous names as Sir Paul McCartney, Annie Lennox, Ronnie Wood and many others. It delivers thousands of music therapy sessions per year in care homes, day centres, hospitals, schools and their own centres, its HQ being in Gordon House Road NW5.
